Nic – who trained as an architect, better known as “Nic the Brick”- with over 30 years experience in the brick industry. With a lifelong passion for bricks and construction, he was integral to the business development from 2007, establishing it as a trusted supplier in the industry. Nic’s deep knowledge of materials, craftsmanship, and market trends has earned him a reputation as an expert in the field. His hands-on approach and commitment to excellence continue to shape the company’s success. When he’s not working, Nic enjoys fly fishing, classic cars, family, and sharing his love of bricks with anyone who’ll listen.
Chris Ortner
Marketing & Technical Sales
Chris blends technical understanding with creative marketing expertise, positioning EBM at the forefront of façade innovation. With a background in marketing within the built environment – particularly architecture, real estate, and design – he leads brand strategy, content creation, and client engagement. Chris works closely with manufacturers and architects to communicate the value of cutting-edge façade systems, product innovations, and sustainable building solutions. His work ensures that EBM’s technical offerings are both clearly understood and compellingly presented to the market.
Karon Gray
Operations Manager
At EBM, Karon oversees the efficient management of sales administration and purchase ledgers, supply chain procurement, logistics, and customs procedures for the UK, Europe, and beyond. With a strong focus on attention to detail and supplier follow-up. Her commitment to reliability and precise delivery has been key in successfully managing complex multi-stage projects and cross-trade deals, reinforcing EBM’s esteemed reputation in the industry.
Erkan Nihat
Technical Sales Manager
Erkan brings a strong background in building systems and technical product sales, with over a decade of experience advising clients on insulation, structural, and acoustic solutions. At EBM, he works closely with specifiers and project managers to deliver customised product packages that meet rigorous performance, regulatory, and sustainability standards. His role also includes site visits, product training, and liaising with European manufacturers to ensure product suitability and technical compliance.
