Northern Buff

Description

Northern Buff is a buff wirecut extruded brick attributed to Ibstock’s Throckley kiln — the same Newcastle plant responsible for the Hadrian, Arden and Milburn ranges. It’s a clean buff tone with a light extruded texture, positioned for mainstream housing and commercial work where a warm pale brick is wanted without the tonal multi of a stock.

The wirecut face gives it a more contemporary read than a sandfaced stock, so it coordinates well with modern detailing. Paired with Throckley reds like Hadrian and Alnwick, it gives specifiers a coordinated warm-palette family across a single kiln.
