Ivanhoe Mellow Red is the mellow-red entry in Ibstock’s Ivanhoe range, made at the Leicester (Ellistown) kiln. The face is a softened mellow red with the sandcreased stock texture that gives the Ivanhoe range its consistent tactile character.

Mellow means aged-looking rather than intense — which is exactly why it’s specified on heritage extensions and period-sensitive new-builds where a new brick needs to read as lived-in.
