Cheddar Brown

Description

Cheddar Brown sits within the Cheddar range attributed to Ibstock’s Cattybrook kiln near Bristol. It’s a warm brown extruded wirecut with a smooth finish — cleaner in character than the rusticated browns from Himley, and softer than the greyer Throckley browns.

That positions it well on mainstream housing where a warm but uncomplicated brown is wanted, and on commercial work where the elevation benefits from a single confident tone rather than a heavy multi.
